About Me

I was born in Oklahoma and raised in rural Texas, but have lived most of my adult life in the OKC area with my husband of over 40 years, with whom I raised two children, and have been blessed with four grandchildren.

My bachelor’s degree was earned from Texas Tech University, and I took 18 hours of psychology because I found it so fascinating, but somehow it never occurred to me to major in it! When our children were adolescents, I began the master’s program at UCO and received my degree in counseling in 1998. During graduate school, I interned at Edmond Family Counseling, where I stayed on to acquire hours toward licensure & eventually join the staff there. My experience at EFC gave me a breadth of experience with a variety of issues and populations that has helped me develop into the therapist I am today.
